Our farm is an exciting new venue for a number of private events. The combination of our indoor Greenhouse and outdoor facilities make Johnson’s Urban Farm a year-round option for your next special event – and offers guests a truly unique experience.
The farm offers an incomparable opportunity for teams to work and learn together: armed with shovels, rakes, and work gloves, your group will become farmers for a day and get a chance to get down in the dirt … while also getting the chance to problem-solve and work towards a common goal. Coworkers will gain a sense of accomplishment as they work together to secure with tangible, and delicious, results. Combine an afternoon of farmwork activity with a private tasting, tour and sunset cocktail reception … and you’ll leave last year’s bowling outing in the dust!
Brunches, Lunches, Cocktail Receptions and Dinners
It’s a new spin on the traditional “rubber chicken” event – and something that will give a whole new meaning to “farm-to-table.” Special events at Johnson’s Urban Farm present the unique opportunity to have guests enjoy meals composed of vegetables growing mere feet from where they are sitting – providing not only great food, but a great opportunity to discuss critical world issues such as sustainability, food production – and a healthy, happy lifestyle.
Weddings at the Farm
A truly unforgettable setting … for a truly unforgettable event. Johnson’s Urban Farm offers a unique venue to help you start your new life off on the right foot – surrounded by nature, and committed to healthy, and sustainable, living.
Visits for K-12 Age Youth
Johnson’s Urban Farm is a classroom where children and youth can roll up their sleeves, learn about plants and how a greenhouse works, explore where their food comes from … and learn about timely issues that are shaping our world such as sustainability. We host groups in the spring, summer and fall from local schools, summer camps, and local teen programs. Sessions include a farm tour, plant exploration, service-learning activities, and farm-fresh snacks!
