Johnson’s Urban Farm, a new greenhouse, farm and specialty market preparing to open on Hilton Head Island next month, is holding an “Open Call” for products to be featured upon its opening. The greenhouse/farm/specialty shop will be opening to the public on November 14th and 15th — providing people throughout the region with an exciting new option for freshly grown local produce, gourmet food items and a variety of specialty gift items made/produced locally.
The Open Call for new products to be featured at Johnson’s Urban Farm will be held on November 14th and November 15th from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Interested individuals/merchants will have the opportunity to show their products to Johnson Urban Farms founder and owner Emily Johnson, a fourth generation Hilton Head Island resident and longtime business professional who has restored her family’s farm and greenhouse into what is the region’s only locally-grown greenhouse.
Artisans/merchants/entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their product directly to Emily during a 15 minute time slot – vying for the opportunity for their product to be featured on store shelves upon the greenhouse/market opening. Items that Johnson’s Urban Farm is seeking includes gourmet and all-natural food items, hand crafted gifts, baked goods, soaps, coffees and other specialty products.
“We are excited to be launching Johnson’s Urban Farm in the community soon, and are thrilled to be bringing farming and a full line of farm fresh produce to the Lowcountry,” says Emily Johnson. “In addition, we are eager to see what other local artists, artisans and food professionals have in terms of products that might be a good fit with our new shop, and we are eager to take on as many of these products as possible to help them increase their own sales.
To make an appointment to present your product on either November 14th or 15th, call Lucy Rosen at 888-587-4593, extension 1 to book a 15 minute time slot for your presentation.
